Bryna Talamantez is an LMFT-Associate who specializes in working with children, teens, adults and families who are grieving. She has extensive training and professional experience in bereavement. Working with kids, teens, and adults experiencing anxiety, working on parent-child relationships, co-parenting, blended families are all populations she specializes in.
Bryna’s passion is providing a safe, non-judgmental environment, where people are able to begin healing their lives and relationships. Bryna uses a person centered, experiential approach with warmth and rapport as the corner stones of her practice.
Since graduating from Southern Methodist University with her Masters of Science in Counseling in 2016, Bryna has been passionate about working especially with children and teens as they walk along their grief journey after losing a loved one or experiencing non-traditional grief such as divorce, ending of relationships, and loss of a pet.
During sessions with children, Bryna uses a child-centered play therapy approach to help children be able to use their most comfortable form of communication- through play. With all ages, she enjoys helping her clients process and work through their feelings through art therapy.
Currently, Bryna serves on the AMF Alumni Board, a national college peer-led grief support group and is also a facilitator for Journey of Hope, a local grief support group for kids and their families.
