Rachael Linthicum, LCSW
Rachael Linthicum is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She was born and raised in Dallas, TX. She recently returned back to Dallas after leaving to attend Baylor University in Waco, TX. It was at Baylor University that she earned a bachelors in psychology with a minor in sociology and a masters in Social Work. It is this unique pairing of disciplines that gives her insight on individual situations and how they affect people socially, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Rachael operates from a person centered approach that takes in multiple areas of a persons life. Rachael is a firm believer in meeting a client where they are in their healing process and helping foster an individual's confidence in their own abilities. She strives to empower everyone to advocate for their needs so that they can regain a sense of control and autonomy over their lives.
While Rachael has experience working along the entire age spectrum, she has a true passion for working with teens, families, and those who feel unheard and marginalized. For over 7 years she worked exclusively with children and their families through a foster care agency, a residential setting, and in an inpatient psychiatric hospital. It is in these work environments that strengthened her abilities in helping clients face deeply rooted traumas that feed their anxiety, depression, negative self talk, and suicidal ideations. It is also through these work experiences that she has become well versed in utilizing suicide risk assessments and interventions, as well as, crisis intervention and debriefing.
